Short Biography of Dr. Mustafa Y. Ali, Kenya
Dr. Mustafa Y. Ali is been the Secretary General and a member of the Governing Board and the Executive Committee of the African Council of Religious Leaders — Religions for Peace (ACRL — RfP). As chief executive officer, he oversees the work of the ACRL — RfP and has been involved in projects aimed at Source: Interviewee finding solutions for conflicts in countries including Guinea, Nigeria, Somalia, Sudan, Uganda, and Zimbabwe. He is currently responsible for facilitating programs supporting conflict transformation in the Horn of Africa. Ali also serves as the Africa Representative for Religions for Peace International1.
Ali has made an immense contribution to the field of religious diplomacy research. His focuses include track II diplomacy, religion and conflict, and the process of conflict transformation. He holds a Master’s degree in Diplomacy and International Studies from the University of Nairobi, Kenya, as well as an interdisciplinary PhD in International Relations and Sociology from the University of Portsmouth in the United Kingdom.
